Celeste is an actor from Venezuela who came to Europe in 2019. Her story reflects the times of crisis which exist in Venezuela but also how friendship and community can be reason for hope. Her way out of Venezuela was a ticket bought for her by her cousin, who was living in England at the time. Celeste received a message from her cousin which read, I don’t know what you’re gonna do, but I bought you a ticket and you’re leaving to Europe in 3 days. Celeste jumped at the opportunity and grabbed it with both hands. In this podcast she tells us about her journey and experiences in England and Ireland so far and what her hopes are for the future.
