Becoming weak for the sake of others

Paul encourages believers to become weak for the sake of others, not to acquiesce but to engage in the fight. This means laying down privilege and actively seeking to understand and empathize with those who are different from us. Assimilation should not be feared, but rather seen as an opportunity to learn from and build relationships with people who come from diverse backgrounds and experiences. The ultimate goal is to share the blessings of the gospel and participate in the joy of seeing others come to know Jesus.
