Egypt was at the zenith of its power, having conquered lands far into the north and the east, well into the Mesopotamian valley. The great empire set its magicians and its power against the people of God and paid the price. The most outstanding miracle of the Old Testament era took place at the Red Sea, and the prostitute at Jericho was still talking about it 40 years later, as well as the witchdoctors of Philistia 400 years later. And we’re still talking about it today. Who was the Pharaoh of the Red Sea, and how was the empire utterly decimated . . . not be resurrected until (ironically) King Saul helped to deliver the Egyptians from the Amalekites 400 years later. This story will astound you. The Bible is real history.
