In 'Everyday Habits for Transforming Systems', Adam Kahane provides a manifesto for change by outlining seven potent habits that enable ordinary citizens to become agents of transformation. Drawing on decades of work with leading changemakers, Kahane offers practical advice for creating impactful change in various fields, from climate change to community development.
In "Love, Power, and Justice," Paul Tillich explores the intricate relationships between these three fundamental concepts. He argues that love is not merely an emotion but a dynamic force that shapes human relationships and social structures. Power, according to Tillich, is inherent in human existence and can be used for both good and evil. Justice, he contends, is the outcome of love's struggle against injustice and oppression. The book offers a nuanced perspective on the complexities of human interaction, emphasizing the importance of ethical action and social responsibility. It remains a relevant contribution to ethical and political thought, prompting reflection on the interplay of love, power, and justice in shaping human societies.
This week, it's a huge pleasure to welcome Adam Kahane onto the podcast to talk with Tim about the everyday habits and radical engagement that young people as well as educators and leaders, at all levels of our education systems, can learn in order to do the coordinated and constant work of transforming systems.
