Hungry House Founder & CEO Kristen Barnett: The Future Is Ghost Kitchens
Hosted by Abena Anim-Somuah
Produced by Kerry Diamond and Catherine Baker
Edited by Jenna Sadhu
Recorded at CityVox Studios
This week, we look into the future with Kristen Barnett, founder and CEO of Hungry House, a ghost kitchen start-up that supports emerging culinary brands and creatives, including Caffè Panna, Apocalypse Burger, The Goods Mart, and Woldy Kusina. Kristen, who is a keen observer of industry trends, noticed a lack of transparency in the world of ghost kitchens so decided to start her own company that would focus on quality and storytelling. “You need to anchor any food item out there with a reason to believe,” she explains.
Kristen also talks with host Abena Anim-Somuah about her experience as a female founder, her time with DIG, and her own food-as-medicine experience. And, of course, don’t miss Kristen’s voicemail to her future self and her Future Flash Five predictions.
