The Power of Small Habits: A Book Review of James Clear's Atomic Habits
Small things make huge impact. Most of the times we only focus on the big picture and forget about the steps on how to actually get there, but James Clear have clearly made his point on the power of small habits in his book, Atomic Habits. He has given specific strategies to work out good habits and make them work for your goal. Sometimes we fall into the trap of procrastination only because we thought we should accomplish our goal in one sitting. We will make excuses about not having enough time to do whatever task we are set to do. This leaves us with little to zero progress.
Here are my 5 key takeaways that you may find help too.
1. Focus on systems, not goals.
2. Make it obvious.
3. Make it attractive.
4. Make it easy.
5. Make it satisfying.
No amount of knowledge can lead us to lasting success when we have poor habits. We must focus on our everyday systems and processes, and check one micro goal at a time. So I encourage you to read this book, or tune into this week's Quickcast episode to learn about what every successful entrepreneur out there should know.
