David Brown is a design engineer at Mako Design. He has both a product engineering and an industrial design background. Today David is going to share some valuable knowledge for inventors, startups, and small manufacturers on what photo-realistic product renderings are, how they are designed and produced for hardware products, and why they are so valuable for hardware startups whether you are using them to raise money or using them to capture new hardware product sales.

Rendering is a whole art, and is no simple.
Renders determine the materials, finishes, lighting, reflections, background, etc.
Video can be quite exciting, especially for investors.
Hero shots, zooming in and out, fading, exploded view.
Exploded view is very powerful.
