Brew's Cafe- Episode 12 Erik Schwab

Well, I wasn't quite expecting this. Erik Schwab, aka @saltyvisionz, teaches surfing at Ditch and Earth Science at Springs School. So I figured we'd talk about the science of waves and beaches and other fluffy subjects. Well, we did. A little. But we spent a lot more time on the social sciences, mainly current events and how we digest our information, how we form our opinions and how we express them to the world. And, well, we ended up down some fairly deep rabbit holes that neither of us had anticipated: climate change, obviously, but politics? and racism? and the internet? Yeah, we go there. I value the honesty that Erik brings to every conversation, but I was amazed at how much honesty and exploration he brought out in me. For a second I wondered who was interviewing who(m- I was an English major as you'll hear).
