Imagine.... you're a samurai in 1700's Japan. Your entire country is coming off 500 years of war. But now..... there's no war.
WHAT DO YOU DO WITH YOURSELF?
On the Hagakure episode, Yamamoto Tsunetomo answered that question with his thesis "kids these days won't even behead a criminal."
But at the same time, there was another thinker.
Almost as influential as Mr. T.
Taira Shigesuku. AKA "Mr. S"
A similar backstory to Mr. T... samurai, then ronin, now old, lamenting the state of the world.
But instead of crying about the fact there was no war.... Mr. S built a code... a way of living... a handbook for how ALL SAMURAI SHOULD CONDUCT THEMSELVES
It is into that text, that we now ventrure..
Behold.
Death.
