#48 - Katie Cooper | How to Reprogram your Subconscious Mind

Walking around with your eyes glued to your phone. Not being able to go for a walk without your headphones in. Sitting in front of the TV feeding your mind with the latest drama from the news.

We live in a world full of distractions and noise.

It’s no wonder we feel stressed and anxious all the time. 

The French Philosopher Blaise Pascal wrote back in the 1600’s,

“All of humanity’s problems stem from man's inability to sit quietly in a room alone.” 

Yet sitting quietly with yourself is one of the biggest gifts you can give to yourself.

And this is what happened to Transformational Business Coach Katie Cooper.

Katie had been living at the edge of stress, hustle and drama all her life which made her mentally, emotionally and physically unwell. 

Growing up in a military household, she was sent away to boarding school at the age of 7.

The stress from her childhood experiences manifested into a mystery illness – and she was diagnosed with an auto-immune disease at the age of 12. 

This disease would affect her throughout the rest of her life.

10 years ago, Katie’s mother suddenly passed away from lung cancer. 

It turned her world upside down and sent her into a dark spiral. She started questioning everything.

“Why did my kind and intelligent mother pass away as an impoverished woman?”

“Why did I give up my career to raise my family?”

“Who am I?” 

These dark times planted the seeds of her healing and entrepreneurial journey. 

After experiencing success with her social media agency, Katie discovered the worlds of Positive Psychology and Metaphysics. She started to implement the teachings in her own life and those of her clients with great effects. 

And over the course of two years her auto-immune disease that she had since she was 12 years old completely disappeared! 

Her medical consultants couldn’t believe what had happened. 

But Katie knew. 

Through meditation and ‘inner work’, Katie reprogrammed her mind and body to operate from a state of ‘peace’ rather than a state of ‘stress’.
