It's another edition of The Hockey Show, so David and Roy naturally start where everybody expects: the World Series! Connor McDavid was not happy about the Blue Jays game being shown while the Oilers were playing, and Ethan has a hot take about his reaction. The guys also discuss Jordan Binnington trying to bag the puck after Ovi founded the 900-goal club, Griddy being the versatile mascot in the league, and Roy compliments the Islanders! In wins and fails, the Florida Panthers are trendsetters, Sergei Bobrovsky shows his support for Hockey Fights Cancer month, and Nikita Zadorov learns that you do NOT mess with Matthew Schaefer. Then, Julian McKenzie of The Athletic joins the show to discuss the upcoming release of his book Black Aces and whether or not hockey really is for everyone. He may or may not be able to answer whether Anson Carter gave himself the nickname "Ace". Finally, it's time to venture into the Panthers Den, where the light is starting to show at the end of a tunnel after a big win Thursday night over the Los Angeles Kings.
