Today I have the absolute pleasure to sit down and discuss the opportunity in front of him with Vincent Williams. After a run down of how he got up to URI we get right into where he sees the program going, and how the familiarity of the A10 within the G League lead to this decision. We then discuss the transition from the G League back to college, and what lessons he’s brought with him to help continue to drive improvements with his players. We then discuss the “flow” of players in the G League, how that impacts their psyche, and how this could impact how he handles his players at URI. We finish off discussing professionalism and how his unique perspective has kept him grounded and help propel him forward throughout his career.
