The Story of the Uncontacted Man in the Hole

A man living alone in the Brazilian jungle, possibly the last of his tribe, was discovered by loggers in 1996. Referred to as the 'man of the hole,' he lives in thatched huts in solitude, surrounded by traps for hunting. Respecting his isolation, the government monitors him through the National Indian Foundation of Brazil to protect his land and provide essentials but refrain from contact efforts due to hostilities. Despite attempts at peaceful contact, he remains isolated and alone in his preserved territory.
