Dr Nayan Kalnad is a medical doctor by training who conceived the idea for Avegen whilst working with digital products in cardiovascular medicine, and saw first-hand how those digital products positively impacted patient outcomes. He co-founded Avegen in 2015, and the company began working with NHS hospitals in 2016 to support digital tool deployment across a range of therapeutic areas. Avegen launched their flagship platform, HealthMachine™, in 2018, which is designed to accelerate the time to launch and deploy digital health apps and products across the healthcare market.
