Luke Mertens is the head football coach at St. Patrick High School in Chicago, Illinois.  He was formerly the head football coach at Lakes Highschool and Lake Zurich Highschool, where he was my coach for 2 years. Outside of coaching, Luke is also the host of "The 'I' in Win" Podcast, where he applies life lessons and coaching philosophies to life advice.

In this conversation, we talked about football as a teacher for discipline and self-accountability, life lessons from the sport, and also reflected on some great memories from our time together at Lake Zurich.
