Longtime fans might be aware that I’m from Philadelphia, and while I’ve been a New Yorker for a couple of decades, Philly is still my favorite city. My third favorite city in the US is New Orleans, which as a musician and music lover makes a ton of sense.

A few years ago, I started noticing a bunch of connections between those two cities. Inspired by watching this year’s Mummer’s Parade (look it up), I decided to finally flesh out these parallel worlds, in music and beyond.
