In the aftermath of Trump’s win, it remains to be seen which policies his second administration will carry to fruition. Trump’s compromises on abortion have reignited old debates on how best to apply God’s Word to the political situation at hand, with some thinkers emphasizing God’s revealed law, and others emphasizing natural revelation.

God's revealed law is the source of our ethics, yet faithful application of those ethics depends on accurate observations of the world God made. For example, God’s word prohibits taking an innocent life and affirms a right to life, and the laws of his creation show us that conception is the beginning of that human life.
