Rahab and Jericho - The ”Spy and Harlot” is the Secret to The Life of Your Dreams

In Joshua 1 we are told that every place your foot treads will be given you (Joshua is the same as Jesus – Yahweh is salvation). This is in the land flowing with milk and honey, which is symbolic for the Spirit realm.  “I have given you every place” is in perfect tense, which means God has already given us everything in the Spirit. We literally are joint heirs and lack nothing. What has not been taught very well is how to enjoy your inheritance.

We are later told in Joshua that there are physical walls around Jericho, which is the city of date palms. Figuratively we get the idea that what we see in the physical, the “facts” of life appear to limit us from our desires. But the city of date palms (literally the seeds that give life to any desire we could ever have) are within.

Strangely, Rahab, a spy and harlot, is the heroine that helps defeat the enemies of Israel. So how is a spy and harlot the salvation of Israel? The name “Rahab” actually means the Spirit of The Father. Remember, all the stories are stories of salvation, they are stories of faith and what goes on in the heart and mind of man.  They are about living from the Spiritual man instead of what we perceive with our physical senses.

Rahab was told to enter the city and enter the upper room and remain there, and not go from house to house. After the trumpet blast of seven times, the walls fell, and she enjoyed salvation.

You should all be getting the hang of all these stories by now. They are all about living in the mind of Christ instead of the carnal mind. They are about living out of the Spiritual Man, Christ within, instead of the physical man.

The only thing keeping you from enjoying any desire you could ever have is living out of what you see with your physical senses. The “facts” of life seem to be real barriers keeping you from your deepest desires.  The good news is that Rahab, the Spirit of the Father, will grant you any desire you could ever have. You can enjoy any life you desire right now. Everything has already been given to you!!

Simply take your eyes off the physical barriers. See yourself enjoying love, abundance and wholeness. When you feel the joy and gratitude of your dream life, the Spirit of God takes that trumpet blast within, and you can simply rest knowing it is already done. It will absolutely come to pass in your life.

What you focus on within, is where the sole of your foot treads. It is the shaping Spirit of God that takes what you see within and molds and shapes it into your physical world. All the “barriers” that seemed to keep you from your dream life will fall away. You will enjoy salvation, which is wholeness and life to its fullest.
