Organic Beauty Talks Sustainability, Packaging, Products, Clean Beauty, and More! with Greg Starkman
Greg Starkman is a clean beauty entrepreneur, ingredient expert, safe cosmetics advocate and founder of award-winning hair care brand Innersense Organic Beauty. His expertise in sustainability, eco beauty, product packaging and clean formulations make him a go-to in the clean hair care and green beauty space.
A pioneer in the clean beauty space, Greg Starkman founded Innersense Organic Beauty with his wife, Joanne, after a series of “aha moments.” Both enjoyed successful careers in salon and in big beauty, and recognized the global safety concerns of ingredients coupled with the rise of health issues among peers in salon. When their daughter was born with a chromosomal abnormality, they connected the dots and walked away from lucrative, corporate positions.
Greg and Joanne founded an organic hair care company to “care for the caregivers” of their beloved industry. Trusting their “innersense,” the brand focuses on self care and supporting stylists with clean, pure and beautiful products behind the chair. Their mission to deliver safe and healthy professional hair care to stylists’ was an industry first.
Today, Innersense Organic Beauty is a global leader in the clean hair care space, where its message of self care, self love, radical ingredient transparency and inclusiveness resonates with stylists, salons and eco retailers worldwide, as well as increasingly savvy consumers, passionate, determined and label-reading their way to cleaner, safer beauty routines.
Greg maintains his “ingredient nerd” moniker, heading the brand’s formulations and R and D, keeping it on the cutting edge of conscious, green chemistry. A trusted authority in the green beauty space, his expertise earned the brand two Allure Best of Beauty awards and cache brand positions among esteemed eco-retailers like Goop, Credo Beauty, The Detox Market, Cult Beauty, Beauty Heroes and more.
“Fall in love with your hair again” with Innersense Organic Beauty in salons, eco boutiques and e-retailers across the globe, from Boston, Massachusetts to Berlin, Denver to Denmark.
