Current Mood in Israeli Society

Israeli society appears to be deeply traumatized and divided, with more than half of the population feeling insecure about the future. Many Israelis experience daily threats, such as missile sirens, leading to a chronic sense of anxiety and uncertainty. The current political leadership, largely aligned with messianic Zionism, promotes an aggressive agenda that aims to extend control over Palestine, creating further anxiety among the more moderate Israeli citizens. Meanwhile, a significant demographic of dual-nationality Israelis, particularly from Europe, are leaving the country, primarily concerned about the future and well-being of their children, rather than a moral objection to Israel's treatment of Palestinians.
