#12: Quit My Dream Job To Make Washing Machines for People Who Need It – Nav Sawhney
Today I spoke to Nav Sawhney, the founder of The Washing Machine Project (https://thewashingmachineproject.org/). This is an amazing business that has been featured on the BBC, The Guardian, ITV and many more, with the ambition of providing hand powered washing machines for underdeveloped communities.
He talks about how he left his well-paid dream job at Dyson to embark on this journey after being inspired by his friendship to a girl who struggled washing her clothes by hand in an underdeveloped community.
He talks about how he wants to grow the company into a for-profit initiative to enable him to grow and provide this to other communities that struggle with this problem.
