Doug Williams and Andy Martino are back with a new episode of the Shea Anything podcast presented by Verizon, as the Mets grabbed some wins out west on their way to Baltimore. Doug and Andy talk about the team’s success in San Diego, the continuing dominance of Jacob deGrom, where things might be headed contract-wise for deGrom, and whether or not Francisco Lindor is truly ready to get going at the plate. They guys also talk about Andy’s new book, “Cheated: The Inside Story of the Astros Scandal and a Colorful History of Sign Stealing,” which reveals what really happened when the Mets split with newly-hired manager Carlos Beltran, and how the scandal affected the Mets as they had just hired Beltran to manage the team when the Astros story broke open.
