CALL TO WORSHIP:
Leader: Come and gather before the Lord, for God has spoken to the nations.
People: We come to listen, to learn, and to worship.
Leader: God sees the pride of the powerful and stands with the humble and the faithful. People: We will not trust in our strength or position— we will trust in the Lord alone. Leader: Though the world may be full of injustice and division, God’s justice will prevail, and His people will be restored.
People: The Lord is our refuge, our hope, and our future.
All: Let us worship the God who brings down the proud, lifts up the lowly, and reigns forever from His holy mountain!
HYMN “I Surrender All” (vs. 1-2) - #354
AFFIRMATION OF FAITH
We believe in God—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit— who gathers us in love, watches over us, and cares deeply for the Church. We believe the Church is one worldwide family of faith, called together from every nation, race, and people. We believe the Church is a united community of believers, reconciled to God and to one another through Jesus Christ.
We believe that God’s Spirit works in us to create true unity— a unity we are called to pursue and to live out in ways the world can see. We believe that the power of Jesus has overcome the sin of division, breaking down the walls of hatred, separation, and fear. And so, we commit ourselves to protect and live out the unity of the Church— with our words, our actions, and our hearts.
