Psalm 30 is a song of praise written by King David, likely for the dedication of the temple or his palace. It reflects on David's experiences of God's deliverance from various trials, including illness and enemy threats. The psalm highlights themes of God's mercy, temporary nature of God's anger, and the eternal nature of His favor. David praises God for turning his mourning into dancing and for the opportunity to continue worshiping and praising Him.
