Concerns about government prosecution

Congresswoman Victoria Spartz, who grew up in the former Soviet Union, expressed her concerns to Attorney General about Americans feeling afraid of prosecution by the Department of Justice. She discussed the need for people to be able to express their opinions without fear of reprisal or government overreach. She mentioned the events of January 6th and how Americans came to peacefully demonstrate their frustrations with the government, but were now being villainized and labeled as insurrectionists. Spartz emphasized the importance of protecting the rights of Americans to have differing opinions without living in fear.
