Deep dives
The Influence of Peter Thiel and J.D. Vance
J.D. Vance's political ascent can largely be attributed to his relationship with Peter Thiel, who has significantly funded his career. Vance's collaboration with Thiel began during his law school days when Thiel offered him a job at his venture capital firm. Vance went on to amass further financial backing from Thiel, receiving the largest single donation to a Senate candidate at $15 million. This close connection suggests that Vance, now Trump's vice presidential pick, embodies Thiel's interests and raises concerns about the influence of Silicon Valley on U.S. politics.
Palantir's Role in National Security
Palantir, co-founded by Thiel, serves as a crucial tool for U.S. intelligence agencies, having been funded by the CIA's venture capital arm. Initially created to facilitate domestic surveillance, Palantir's software is used worldwide, influencing both military operations and domestic policing. Historical associations show a disturbing link between Palantir's technology and the monitoring of American citizens, creating profiles based on their online behaviors. This raises serious questions about civil liberties, especially as Palantir's technology has been involved in controversial operations, such as in Gaza, where its algorithms have been implicated in human rights abuses.
The Push for Programmable Money
The shift toward a programmable financial system is gaining momentum, led by figures like Vance, who sits on the Senate Banking Committee. The concern arises from the integration of finance with social media platforms, particularly with PayPal and its influence over digital currencies. By linking financial systems to user data and activity on social media, a social credit paradigm could emerge, potentially surveilling and controlling users’ financial transactions based on their online presence. This trend poses significant risks for personal freedoms, as the potential for companies to manipulate how individuals use their finances based on their social media activity grows.
Censorship and Online Anonymity
The impending push to eliminate online anonymity ties into broader efforts to control the narrative of discourse and financial behavior on the internet. Linking government-issued IDs to online activity is being framed as a way to combat cybercrime, but it fundamentally threatens personal privacy. This trend parallels previous moves by the government to surveil and profile individuals based on their online behavior, putting user freedoms at risk. The implications are profound, as the melding of online identity with financial systems could lead to punitive measures against those who express divergent views or challenge established narratives.
The Fusion of U.S. and Israeli Interests
There is a growing concern regarding the intertwining of U.S. and Israeli national security interests, particularly through technology and funding from oligarchs like Thiel. Many tech startups in Silicon Valley have ties to Israeli intelligence, particularly Unit 8200, fostering a relationship that can blur the lines between national interests and corporate agendas. This fusion is evident in the collaboration between U.S. companies and Israeli defense efforts, often at the expense of civil rights and international law. The implications of this connection extend into domestic policy, potentially paving the way for further militarization and surveillance of American citizens.
It is election season once again, and that means that the world’s eyes are drawn to our corrupt two-party duopoly. With a rapidly aging Biden decaying in front of us, Donald Trump is now a heavy favorite to become Commander-in-Chief of the US empire once more.
Trump has chosen JD Vance as his running mate, a character made and financed by Silicon Valley and surveillance state billionaire Peter Thiel. It seems no matter whom you vote for, our national security state – and that of Israel – will be the winner.
Peter Thiel’s CIA-tech empire “Palantir” helped Israel develop the AI lavender system, which has been used by the Israeli military to target civilian homes and children and completely decimate the world’s largest concentration camp with precision.
However, this is not Peter Thiel's first ride in the Trump campaign as he helped bankroll Trump himself in the 2016 election and even worked in his cabinet to advance the surveillance state by collecting our data during COVID.
Despite Trump campaigning as a populist anti-establishment draining the swamp, he is the swamp, and he’s planning on overfilling his swamp with figures like Peter Thiel, who will take our technocratic surveillance state and war machine to the next level – far worse than what we say during COVID.
