(Ep. 71) "Why Are You Still Single?" - A Conversation About Waiting to Get Married with Brian Ondrako
Long time friend, podcast host and author, Brian Ondrako, joins me on this episode to discuss the view and perception on waiting to get married until you're "older" and why society seems to look down upon that. Waiting myself until 39 to get engaged and married, this is something I have struggled with for over a decade. So many moments I doubted myself, wondering what was wrong with me, feeling lonely and depressed. Society has somehow created this "norm" of being married by 30 and starting a family or something must be wrong. I got asked constantly "Why are you still single?" as if waiting for the right partner and to be truly happy with myself and who I am was a negative. Brian, having been married in his 20's and now single, has a great perspective on this as well. Being back in the world of dating, he discusses what he's learned over the years and the lessons that marriage has taught him now that he's older.
