China will seek to establish air superiority in the Taiwan straits. It will have to fight Japanese Air Defense. US air defense and air craft carriers will arrive in the Taiwan straits. The 7th fleet out of Yokosuka, will be mobilized into the region and fight Chinese fighter pilots in air combat. The air craft carrier is necessary to provide refueling capability for the fighter planes.
