The Patriot Freedom Project is being called into question by Congressional Democrats. They have concerns about this nonprofit group that gives financial support to defendants charged in the January 6th attack on the U.S. Capitol. At issue: whether the Freedom Project’s apparent support for Donald Trump's presidential campaign may violate federal tax law. The judge overseeing Trump’s federal criminal elections interference trial is suggesting that a delay of weeks or even months in the trial is possible. That’s because all the trial dates she set are still on pause as Trump’s attempt to get the case dismissed is pending before the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals.
