39. Reviving Intimacy in Postpartum with Prairie Wolfe of Somatic Connections
If you and your partner are struggling with sex and intimacy, especially during postpartum time, or having the same argument over and over, this is a great episode for you!
Prairie Wolfe is a Certified Sexological Bodyworker, Somatic Experiencing Practitioner, and Somatic Sex and Relationship Coach. She was ushered into this work through a difficult birth and postpartum time that left her grappling with physical and emotional trauma, and searching desperately for answers.
Prairie has a thriving private practice where she supports folks to reconnect with their vibrancy, reclaim space in their own bodies, recover from pelvic issues, and develop healthy relating patterns with their partners and children. She also regularly hosts group pelvic-mapping workshops as well as relationship development for couples.
We discuss:
- The birth trauma that led her to this work
- Orienting to what somatics and somatic experiencing means and the benefits of it for healing from trauma
- The deeper layers that create disconnect in intimacy for couples
- Tools to revive intimacy and sex in postpartum or any other time you and your partner are struggling with this
- Much more!
