Seane is a yoga teacher, public speaker, social activist and author. She is a co-founder of the “Off the Mat, Into the World”, an organization training leaders worldwide in social change, and a co-founder of “Global Seva Challenge”, which has raised over $3.5 million by activating communities of yoga in fund and awareness raising efforts.
In 2005, she was named “National Yoga Ambassador” for YouthAIDS, and in 2013 received both the Global Green International Environmental Leadership Award and the Humanitarian Award by the Smithsonian Institute.
Featured on over 40 magazine covers and countless media outlets, Seane has chosen to use her platform to bring awareness to global issues including social justice, sex trafficking, HIV/AIDS awareness, generational poverty, and animal rights.

In the community she was very fortunate to come across “disguised angels” that helped her find her a practice and her path. Seane recommends if you want to dismantle the systems that create oppression, you've got to dismantle the systems that exist within yourself. She firmly believes that our reactive behaviour comes from inherited belief systems passed down from generation to generation that haven't been reconciled, and shares what we should do in order to change it.

Seane thinks that the best she can do with her privilege and platform is provide people with real education, tools of integration to be able to deal with what comes up emotionally, and a reframe in their way of understanding so they can stand in the presence of difference without judging. She refers to everything being connected to yoga.
