On Valentine’s Day of 2018, Steve Bustin’s phone rang. The woman on the other end said, “You don’t know me, but I thought I knew you.” Steve later found out scammers used his social media pictures on several online profiles, including dating sites and Facebook. This sent the happily married man on a journey he never expected to embark on -- straight into the path of dating scammers. In fact, the BBC featured his story on the program For Love or Money last year. During this interview, Steve lays out the scammers' strategies and how to protect yourself from the most common gullibility test.
