Registered Nurse and Sobriety Coach Kate Vitela is here to remind you that no matter where you are on your sobriety journey, you are always allowed to change. 

Kate shares the story of how alcohol became a way of life for her as a young nurse and how her attempt at switching to cannabis wound up unraveling her life in a way that led to full sobriety. 

She also shares about her experiences with AA. Originally a program that changed her life, Kate felt after a couple of years of sobriety that she no longer wanted to identify as an ‘alcoholic’. This choice led her to unexpected backlash that led her to step away from the program and develop her own. 

Kate is now a sober coach and sober podcaster focusing on a message that blends science, spirituality, real stories, and humor to create a recovery approach that’s authentic and empowering.
