Progressive Policies in Minnesota

Governor Tim Walz and the Democratic party in Minnesota have achieved significant progressive policies, including codifying abortion rights, implementing paid family and medical leave and sick leave, banning conversion therapy and providing protection for transgender individuals, passing voting rights and voter access bills, offering tax credits for low-income parents, ensuring free breakfast and lunch for K-12 students, enacting gun control measures, and legalizing recreational cannabis. These accomplishments were achieved despite having only a slim majority in the state legislature.
