Because if you aren’t sure what your top priorities are, you’re going to get your attention hijacked by all kinds of stuff that doesn’t really matter. Which is fine, you don’t need to be a robot that is completely focused on important things all the time. BUT, if you don’t know what your priorities are, well, you’re not all that likely to be making steady progress on the things that matter to you.
