Kennedy and Byron explore the Blake House, encountering a breach in reality and discussing non-linear time. They prepare for a seance-like activity and find themselves in a new space. In a mysterious library, they meet a distressed girl with scissors and retrieve Robert Blake's notebook.
The breach in reality allows artifacts from another time period to leak through, challenging the concept of linear time and serving as a non-traditional time machine.
During their quest, the narrator and Byron travel to 1935 and encounter an eleven-year-old girl named Mary who becomes agitated, leading them to distract her and retrieve Robert Blake's notebook.
Deep dives
Discovering the breach and artifacts of another reality
During the podcast episode, the narrator discusses a breach in reality and artifacts from another time period leaking through. The protagonist, Marcus Byron, explains that the sounds appearing on the Blake House recordings are fragments from another reality, which can be heard on the recordings but not in the actual house. These artifacts are also picked up by Byron's radio. The narrator finds this phenomenon eerie and tries to comprehend the idea of time not being linear. Although unable to fully grasp the concept, the breach serves as a means for the Blake family and Philip Gibson to be transported to different time periods, challenging the idea of a traditional time machine.
An encounter in 1935 and the search for a missing notebook
In their quest to find a missing notebook, the narrator and Byron find themselves in 1935. They enter a library filled with floor-to-ceiling bookshelves and encounter an eleven-year-old girl named Mary. Despite their attempts to explain their peaceful intentions, Mary becomes agitated and wields a pair of scissors. In the shadows, the narrator spots the notebook they are searching for on a desk. They decide to distract Mary and retrieve the notebook. As they leave, they find themselves disoriented and end up in the original Marston House cellar where the bodies were discovered in 2016. They eventually make it back to the present, with the narrator left with a scar from being stabbed in the past. The episode ends with the discovery of Robert Blake's notebook, bringing their journey to a close.
Bad Memories resurface as Kennedy and Byron proceed with caution into the Blake House. Are they getting closer to finding Robert Blake's notebook and the house's secrets? Or simply heading into danger.
