It's normal to wake up feeling groggy and out-of-it. It all comes down to "sleep inertia", which is a very normal part of the sleep cycle. Sleep inertia lasts about 9 minutes and is our body's way of getting more sleep, so we've got a reminder to stop judging your groggy ass in the morning.
