The MOVE Bombing
This week, Madigan tells the tragic story of the MOVE Bombing, which occurred in West Philly in 19985 after long-standing tensions between the Philadelphia Police and a predominantly Black activist group grew to a fever pitch. This is the first and only time the US government has bombed their own citizens, and the event left 11 people dead.
I HIGHLY recommend checking out my main source for this week's episode, the podcast MOVE The Untold Story of an American Tragedy, available on Audible.
