In this episode of Tough Text, Daniel Price and Scott Keith explore Acts 19 and unpack the relationship between baptism, the Holy Spirit, and speaking in tongues. The conversation explains why the disciples in Ephesus only knew John the Baptist's baptism, how Christian baptism delivers the Holy Spirit through the means of grace, and why ignorance of doctrine is not the same thing as rejecting it. They also discuss the purpose of tongues in the early church, connecting the spread of the Gospel to God overcoming language barriers and gathering the nations together through the proclamation of Jesus Christ.
