Importance of Friendship in the Church

Friendship is an essential aspect of the church as it demonstrates the presence of God when people come together in unity. It cannot be faked or programmed, but is a manifestation of divine presence. Loneliness is becoming an epidemic and has adverse effects on our health. Church should be a place where true friendship is cultivated, providing a sense of community and support. Jesus prayed for his disciples and all future believers to be united, just as the Father and Son are united.
