Today is day 311 and we are studying The Sixth Commandment. 311. How did Jesus extend the law against murder? Jesus taught that this commandment also forbids the vice of ungodly anger. A murderous heart can lead to hatred, threatening words, violent acts, and murder itself, and is counter to God’s life-affirming love. (Leviticus 19:17–18; Matthew 5:21–22, 43–45; 15:18–20; 1 John 3:15) We will conclude today by praying Proper 20 found on page 620 of the Book of Common Prayer (2019).
