Welcome to Club Prairie Fire, the home of Tequila, Tabasco and The Duckworth Lewis Stern System. This is sadly our last episode of Season 7 - the T20 World Cup Season. What a series it was..and While Gilly is away in Mexico, England Skipper Michael Vaughan, Hopeless host The Professor and the plucky producer Ollie Silverton have got you covered for all the highs, lows, shitty New York pitches, Golf course reviews and lots of reminiscing about Spiced Rum sessions in the Caribbean Sun.
What a Wonderful tournament it was, India, magical India, finally after 11 years of being the favourites in basically every tournament they’ve ever played in they have raised a Trophy. A very unselfish King Kohli anchoring his side to a very memorable victory. Sadly, It is the team that was fighting an even bigger hoodoo, South Africa that walked away from the final empty handed. It was theirs, they only needed 30 off 30 with 6 wickets in hand and then sadly…they dropped the World Cup again.
