The body of Stephen Smith has been exhumed. Smith's death was initially investigated as a hit-and-run but investigators say the evidence did not support that as a cause of death. Smith's body was discovered on a rural road in Hampton county back in 2015. Now that a new autopsy has been done, the investigation is just beginning.
