"Leadership comes in all forms" - Tayo Rockson
Tayo Rockson is a Third Culture Kid (TCK) who grew up on four different continents and considers himself to be a citizen of the world.
Today he is the CEO and President of UYD Media, a media company that encourages people all over the world to use their difference to make a difference while celebrating diversity and educating others.
Tayo is a writer and author whose work can be seen on the Huffington Post, Entrepreneur, Among Worlds Magazine, and Global Living Magazine.
I wanted to bring him on the show to talk about how globalization effects the way we create and lead, and how to bridge gaps between different groups and cultures
Tayo is also an authority on Third Culture Kids and assimilation into new cultures. On this show he talks about how to find your top three universal connectors such as sports or music that allow you to connect with new friends in any culture
Tayo shares his vision for politicians who can understand the pain points of all different groups, and for an education system that teaches geography and the history of each continent so that every student can become a global citizen.
As you might expect of someone who had to make friends over and over again in his life, he is a gregarious, light hearted entertainer and this interview if full of interesting stories from his life.
If you are and aspiring global leader or a TCK and want to know how to use your background for good, or simply want to understand the qualities of individuals that operate as global citizens, this is the episode for you!
What you will learn in this episode:
-How to find your universal connectors to meet new friends in any culture
