We’re back with another spotlight episode, and today we’re joined by a 5’7 Chinese-American pro athlete named Nelson Chan, who plays basketball for the Macau Black Bears. What makes his story unique is that before he made it to the pros, Nelson was just an average basketball player throughout high school and didn't even compete at the collegiate level.
So how exactly did he do it?
Well, during this conversation, Nelson and I spoke about how he got into basketball, the first time he dunked, deciding while in college to play professionally, how he dealt with the naysayers. Moving to an entirely different country to chase his dreams and what it was like to make it finally.
Nelly Chan's unconventional path to achieving his dreams is proof that you can do anything you set your mind on. The real question you have to ask yourself is…. how bad do you want it, and what are you willing to do get? Here’s to episode 14. Enjoy!
