Defense spending will continue to climb as civilian agencies brace for years of cuts, new forecast projects

A new federal spending forecast is out and it paints two different pictures for defense and civilian agencies. The Professional Services Council projects that defense spending will keep climbing through 2035. But civilian agencies aren’t so lucky, analysts predict that non-defense budgets are likely to remain flat or shrink. Federal News Network’s Anastasia Obis has more.
