The Michigan defense has this above most other teams in CFB

While we don't want to be mere stenographers for Michigan football and what it says in fall camp, we can glean a lot from what the coaches and players do (and don't) say. 

On Sunday, defensive backs coach LaMar Morgan met with the media and may have upended some expectations at corner and safety based on what he said about the leaders at both positions. But that led to an interesting note from him about the defense being 'positionless.' We use that to look back at the evolution of the Michigan defense since Mike Macdonald took over, what having a 'positionless defense' means, how it may be deployed, and in the most basic terms, how that could be a huge boon for the Wolverines.

Then, we take a look at what Reese's Senior Bowl director Jim Nagy said about the defensive front on Monday morning and point out why what he's saying would spell incredible things for the D this season -- perhaps even more so than last year.
