The Mystery of Alia's Story

Alia, a teenager participating in a youth radio program, tells a gripping story about her tumultuous relationship with her boyfriend Samir and their two-year-old daughter Zeniah. However, it is later revealed that Alia had made up the entire story, including the existence of her daughter. The teacher, Yoa Shaw, reflects on how she missed the signs and pushed Alia into creating a dramatic story. Alia explains that she created the story as a fantasy, influenced by the hood novels she read. The dolls she talked to served as a source of comfort and a way to express her hidden emotions.
