They discuss how Shola managed to complete so many degrees while raising her children, why your first role model should be yourself, and reconciling faith with feminism. Shola also talks about how injustice spurs on her campaigning, and the importance of making the most of every opportunity you’re given – even if you think you’ve been given it because of your gender or race: “It doesn’t matter why you’ve been asked … Use what you’ve been given to open up the floodgates … so that more women like you come through. That’s what we do – disrupt the status quo.”
