In this program, Chip will use various Bible passages to give us a firm foundation for what we believe. Discover what God says about the value of all human life and how He wants you to react when this issue crosses your path in real life.

Main Points Introduction: Regardless of where you stand, abortion is one of the most controversial, pivotal, and emotionally charged issues of our day.

Framing the issue = 2 positions… then and now:

The pro-abortion (pro-choice) position
The anti-abortion (pro-life) position

The issue today: Does the pre-born baby have an inalienable right to live under any circumstances; or does the mother have the right to terminate her pregnancy to care for herself and her family’s welfare?

If a pre-born baby is human life, then…
If a pre-born baby negatively impacts the mother’s mental or physical health or that of the welfare of her family and future then…

Examining the evidence… thoughtfully:

What does medical science say?
What does historical research say?
What does God say?
Two positions revisited: The pro-abortion camp | The pro-life camp

Application - responding to abortion today:

Finding forgiveness and healing. -Psalm 86:5-7, 1 John 1:9
Taking responsibility. -Proverbs 24:11-12
Establishing limits. -Romans 13:1-7
Acting in love. -Ephesians 4:15-18
